The alley behind Green Brain Comics is turning into a pop-up comic book festival on Saturday, May 3rd from 10am to 6pm for Free Comic Book Day 2025! Join us for one of the biggest days of the year as we hand out free comics, host local artists, and celebrate 40 years of bringing comics to Dearborn.

Step through the big tent behind the shop and choose three free comics from a wide selection of FCBD 2025 titles—no purchase necessary! Want even more? You can earn bonus comics by:

• Bringing a non-perishable food donation for Gleaners Community Food Bank

• Making a donation to Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit

• Wearing a costume

• Making a purchase inside the store

All day long, comic creators, illustrators, and community partners will be set up in the alley under the tent, ready to share their work, sign books, and chat with fans. It’s a perfect opportunity to support local talent and dive deeper into the creative world of comics.
