Kubrick. Cold War paranoia. Jet-black comedy that somehow feels more relevant every decade. The Senate Theater is screening Dr. Strangelove, and if you’ve never seen it on the big screen—or if you just want to laugh nervously with a room full of strangers—this is a primo winter-night excursion.
Think of it as self-care, but with mushroom clouds.

You can work on your own thing at your own pace, or jump into a few low-pressure prompts if you want a little creative nudge. There’s no agenda beyond making stuff and hanging out.
We’ll have drawing prompts and a few surprises ready to go, plus art supply samples courtesy of Blick Art Materials to play around with. Bring whatever tools you love working with, grab some snacks or take-out (Downey Brewing is happily food-friendly), and settle in for an easygoing evening of artist camaraderie, conversation, and cold drinks.
