New Comic Book Day – This Week at Green Brain Comics
Spring has finally decided to show up like it means it—longer days, warmer air, and just enough sunshine to justify grabbing a stack of comics and reading them somewhere you probably shouldn’t (porch steps, parked car, behind the counter… we don’t judge).
We’ve got a great cultural double-feature happening this weekend over at the historic Senate Theater—a 2pm matinee of FernGully: The Last Rainforest followed by Cinema Paradiso at 7pm. That’s a pretty perfect one-two punch: environmental fairy tale into full-on love letter to movies. Make a day of it.

Quick scheduling note: our weekly livestream is shifting to 5:30pm this week only. Why? Because we’ll be cutting out early to go to the Dearborn City Council meeting where we’ll be recognized for 40 years of Green Brain Comics in Dearborn. Not bad for a humble comic shop—turns out reading comics for decades does build character.
And speaking of celebrations… Free Comic Book Day is now officially breathing down our necks. Join us Saturday, May 2nd from 10am–6pm for one of our favorite days of the year—free comics, great vibes, and a shop full of folks rediscovering why this medium rules.
